Christopher Bevan
Christopher Bevan is an award-winning and two-time Royal Television Society Midlands nominated filmmaker who has worked on a wide range of films including both fiction and documentary shorts, artist films, music promos and commercials. His short films have been screened at film festivals in the UK and abroad and his work has been distributed on platforms including Apple TV, Together TV and the online sci-fi channel DUST.
In 2024 he was selected for BFI NETWORK Film Hub Midlands first ever Directors Lab and his is a BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew Alumni. His next short film, Chokehold, supported BFI NETWORK, is in production.
Through his production company YSP Media, he has directed a diverse slate of films focusing on charitable and social issues and community arts, including commissions funded by Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund UK.

WORK Records TIMELINE
Lea Mills was founded by John Smedley and Peter Nightingale (great uncle to Florence) in 1784, a year after the American Revolution and five years before the French Revolution.
Stewarts & Lloyds was established in 1903 by the amalgamation of two of the largest iron and steel makers in Britain: A. & J. Stewart & Menzies, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, Scotland, and Lloyd & Lloyd, Birmingham, England.
Two years after the 1926 General Strike, Robinson and Sons opened a staff canteen, providing meals for employees.
Corby Pole Fair was established in 1585. Corby was designated a New Town in 1950.
WORK Records is focused on working lives at three family firms in the East Midlands. Our WORK Records timeline will place key moments in the histories of the three factories in a wider context, noting industrial, political and social events, as well as work related cultural landmarks - literature, music, film, and art.
We'll post the TIMELINE here in the run up to the online launch of the WORK Records films.
